Field Physiology Measurements
- Expertise in the measurement of plant growth & productivity, photosynthesis, water movement has been strongly established in the group (Nicola Cooley, Greg Dunn, Sonja Needs, Snow Barlow).
- Temperature measurements using Thermal imaging (contact Ashley Wheaton or Nicola Cooley for details)
- Li-Cor. Measurement of leaf photosynthesis, transpiration, stomatal conductance, leaf temperature and internal CO2. (contact Sonja Needs or Nicola Cooley for details)
- Pressure bomb (equipment location, Dookie College). Contact either Sonja Needs or Nicola Cooley for details.

Analytical Capabilities
The group has the facilities and skills to utilise the following analytical methods (please note these skills are not offered commercially)
- HPLC analysis of soluble carbohydrates, including glucose, sucrose, fructose, mannitol and sorbitol on either grape or wine samples. (contact either Nicola Cooley or Sonja Needs for details)
- HPLC analysis of anthocyanin, phenolic and tannin profile on grape or wine samples (contact Sonja Needs for details)
- Spectrophotometric: Phenolic and colour analysis on grape and wine samples (contact Sonja Needs for details)

Wireless networks:
The group has the capacity to set up and ororate wireless networks to collected data from various sensors in the vineyard:
- Soil moisture: Environscan Sentek probes
- Environmental parameters: weather station set-up and maintenance
- Automated irrigation control.
