Mary Sloane Travelling Scholarship
The Mary Sloane Travelling Scholarship funds were donated to the Melbourne School of Land and Environment in 1949 by Mary Sloane.
Eligibility criteria
The funds are to be allocated to graduates of the University who are enrolled in a higher degree course in Agricultural Science and wish to visit research institutions.
Applicants who are enrolled in Masters by coursework, Postgraduate Diplomas, Postgraduate Certificates or Graduate Diplomas or Graduate Certificates are not eligible.
Conditions
The scholarship is provided as a lump sum (once off) payment and award holders must be enrolled in an approved postgraduate course of study at the University of Melbourne
Application procedure and closing dates
To be considered for the Mary Sloane Scholarship, applicants must 1) meet the eligibility criteria, 2) have applied for the award to the Melbourne School of Land and Environment by the closing date.
Please apply for admission using the hard copy application form. Application forms are available from the Graduate Studies Office or downloadable here (Room G10, Ground Floor, Melbourne School of Land and Environment). Applications for these awards should be submitted to Graduate Studies Officer at the MSLE Student Centre, by no later than 5:00 p.m. on 31 August.
Application outcome
Successful applicants will be notified by the Melbourne School of Land and Environment approximately eight weeks after the above application deadlines.
