Research
Landscape sociology; policy and planning effecting the design and management of the wider (regional & rural)landscape, urban fringe landscapes, in particular, conservation zones on productive landscapes; catchment management and Landcare related programs and processes; community based resource management; gender and resource management; theoretical perspectives in social science contributing to collaborative and participatory resource management processes.

Other Professional Interests
Policy and planning relating to the design and management of public open space in the urban and urban fringe environment; contemporary urban design.

  • Currently involved in DNRE Social Capability project;
  • co-coordination of the ILFR Social Research network;
