Pyramiding ascochyta blight ressistance in chickpea
The project objectives are:
1. Fine and comparative mapping chickpea QTL conditioning resistance to A. rabiei
2. Cloning and sequencing chickpea BAC clones harbouring the QTL
3. Identifying the resistance gene(s) and analysing their functions involved in chickpea resistance to A. rabiei using both genomic and proteomic approaches
4. Pyramiding Ascochyta blight resistance in chickpea
