Transcriptional Analysis of Resistance Reaction to Ascochyta Blight in Lentil at Maturity
The project objectives are to:
1. Determine the Lentil-specific gene sequences of defence related ESTs derived from Lathyrus sativus and Cicer arietinum
2. Validate the functional response of specific lentil defence genes
3. Map the interesting genes/ESTs for association with R-QTL
4. Differential response of defence-related genes among host pathogen complexes
