Current Research 

Expression of defence-related genes in response to Ascochyta lentis infection of lentil (Lens culinaris ssp. culinaris)

The project objectives are to:

1. Determine the existence of 40 resistance genes analogs (RGAs) sequences previously isolated from chickpea in the lentil cultivars Northfield and Indianhead.

2. Assess the transcription patterns of RGAs after inoculation with an aggressive and virulent isolate of Ascochyta lentis

3. Determine the quantity of transcription of the most information RGA sequences during the defence response
