Bachelor of Agriculture
In the next 40 years, our globe will need to produce 50% more food from the same land and water resource base to feed a rapidly increasing world population.
Agriculture is the study of the science and management of systems for the production of food and fibre in a sustainable way. The Bachelor of Agriculture combines the strengths of two of the University’s campuses. In the first and second years you attend the Parkville campus, with some subjects taught as intensive blocks at the Dookie campus. Third year will be based at the Dookie campus. Dookie is located between Shepparton and Benalla, in the Goulburn Valley – Victoria’s food bowl.
When you study agriculture you are taught the principles and applications of science, economics and management, animal production, agribusiness, catchment management and various multidisciplinary packages such as systems analysis and management.
