Change of Preference @ Land & Food Resources

Choosing a degree can be confusing and stressful for students, parents and careers teachers. Leading up to the VTAC Change of Preference period, the University of Melbourne's Faculty of Land and Food Resources will be conducting a range of activities designed to reduce anxiety and disseminate information in what can be a highly emotional and trying time. This website has been designed to provide information on each of the following categories to assist you through the Change of Preference period.
Change of Preference Activities
Course Information Day: Land and Food Resources Info Session
Lower Theatre, Ground Floor, Land & Food Resources Building
Thursday 20th December, 12-12:45pm
This session will provide specific information on the course offerings of the Faculty of Land and Food Resources in 2008.
This session is part of the University of Melbourne Change of Preference Course Information Day which runs from 10am to 3.30pm at the Parkville Campus. Staff members from all courses will be available to discuss your study plans.
Coffee, Cake and Course Information
Dookie Campus
Tuesday 18th December, 10am-4pm
Dookie Campus will be holding a Coffee, Cake and Course Information day on Tuesday 18th December from 10 am to 4 pm. Students and their families are encouraged to drop in to Dookie to discuss any issues or concerns you may have. Course Drop-in sessions
Weekdays 9am-5pm
Dedicated Course Drop-in sessions will also operate during the Change of Preference period. Please contact or visit the Faculty office or specific campus to obtain personalised advice from staff well-versed on the structure of new and continuing courses, entry requirements, career and employment opportunities, as well as pathways into professional masters programs and research higher degrees.

Enrolment Information
Once you have received and accepted an offer from VTAC for the course of your choice, you will be forwarded an enrolment package that must be completed in order for you to commence studying in the 2008 academic year. This enrolment package will include information on enrolment procedures and requirements for commencing study at the University of Melbourne in 2008. Further information regarding enrolment day can be obtained by contacting the individual campus (see table above).

Orientation Week
O-week offers a fun introduction to campus life, new people, and to new ways of teaching and learning.
Information about the activities planned for the Parkville campus is available at the Orientation Programs website. This includes information about Academic Advice Days.
Dookie Campus O-week activities will be held from Wednesday 27th February. Activities include theme nights, dinner with staff and existing students along with course information and orientation to campus and surrounding district including community clubs and activities. Information about O-Week at Dookie Campus will be available from the Dookie Website in late January.
