Entry Requirements

Victorian students will receive an Equivalent National Tertiary Entrance Ranking (ENTER) which is based on their performance in subjects in the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE). More information on the calculation of the ENTER can be found from VTAC.

Interstate students will also receive an ENTER, except Year 12 students in Queensland.

International students can visit the International Future Students website for detailed information on entry requirements and the application process.

Undergraduate courses

Prerequisites

Bachelor of Agriculture Units 1 and 2: one of General Mathematics or Mathematical Methods. Units 3 and 4 - a study score of at least 25 in English (any). Consideration is also given to relevant work experience.

Associate Degree in Environmental Horticulture (based at Burnley)

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English (any).

Bachelor of Arts

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in each of English (any)
Bachelor of Environments Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English (any).
Bachelor of Science Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in each of English (any), Mathematical Methods (either), and in one of Biology, Chemistry or Physics.

Entry scores and calculations

The University maintains a list of entry scores for Australian students that you can view.

If you are applying for the Bachelor of Agriculture, completion of Units 3 & 4 mathematics (any) adds up to 3 points to your ENTER for middleband calculations.

Consideration will also be given to relevant work experience and to Access Melbourne applicants.
