Associate Degree in Environmental Horticulture
Course Description
This course is conducted on the Burnley campus, and is designed for students wishing to gain employment at a technical or a middle management level in the areas of arboriculture, nursery production and management, landscape construction, turf management and park and garden management.
Studies in horticulture skills will foster an ability to recognise alternatives and opportunities and apply imaginative thinking, sound judgement, problem solving and decision making. This Associate Degree will produce a graduate who is able to successfully organise, operate and develop a horticultural business.
The Associate Degree in Environmental Horticulture offers potential specialisations in nursery production, parks and gardens, arboriculture and landscape construction.
Through academic study, required work experience and self directed learning students are enabled to discover personal strengths and follow areas of special interest through communication, team leading and problem solving.

Course Structure
This course is delivered on campus in full or part-time mode based at Burnley. Students studying full-time normally complete this course in two years.
