Description
The objectives of the course are to:
- Allow candidates to undertake original research into agro-forestry, biotechnology, community engagement, conservation, ecology, ecophysiology, economics, greenhouse balance, harvesting, human values, fire, hydrology, pest management, soils and nutrients, genetics, remote sensing, restoration ecology, silviculture, tree physiology, wildlife interactions, and wood science.
- Make a distinct contribution to knowledge
- Advance appropriate research methodology.
- Improve communication of research findings.
Entry Requirements
Candidature requires completion of the Bachelor of Forest science degree or the Postgraduate Diploma in Forest Science. Candidates may also be accepted from those admitted to a degree the School recognises as equivalent.
Assessment
Candidates are normally examined by submission of a research thesis.
