Flexible Learning
The Faculty of Land and Food Resources is unique amongst faculties of The University of Melbourne in that it offers a number of its courses and subjects by flexible delivery (also called distance education, home study or external study).
The faculty has a strong commitment to providing access to life-long learning. It caters for the recognised demand for part-time, off campus distance education and mixed mode courses which can be delivered in the workplace or home.
We have developed extensive independent learning resources covering postgraduate, undergraduate, and non-award courses.
Each year hundreds of people of all ages study with us either to get the qualification they need or to get the information they want in a specific area, without seeking a formal qualification.
